A new draft law on bankruptcy is under examination in the Albanian Parliamentary Committees.

The new Amendment intends to reinstate once again the concepts abrogated with the Law 132/2013 and to bring back the relevant legal provisions almost to the original version of this law on securing charge.

On 27.10.2016, the Albanian parliament approved the law no. 110/2016, "On bankruptcy". The law published with Official Gazette no. 226, dated 22 November 2016 will enter into force six month after publication date.
