The act of 11 August 2021, amending the Polish Code of Administrative Proceedings (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1491, "Amending Act"), entered into force on 16 September 2021.

As of this date, any administrative decision may not be declared invalid if 10 years have elapsed from the day the decision was served or pronounced and invalidation proceedings cannot be initiated if 30 years have elapsed. All proceedings concerning such decisions and pending on 16 September 2021 will be terminated.

Although the Amending Act concerns all administrative decisions regardless of subject, it has been perceived as being aimed at limiting reprivatisation (restitution) claims concerning real properties.
