Het Bureau Toetsing Investeringen(BTI) heeft onlangs zijn handleiding 'Actief zijn op het gebied van sensitieve technologie' bijgewerkt die zich richt op wanneer een bedrijf wordt beschouwd als actief op het gebied van sensitieve technologie.

De BTI-handleiding maakt deel uit van een reeks handleidingen die duidelijkheid verschaffen over de reikwijdte van de Wet veiligheidstoets, investeringen, fusies en overnames (Wet Vifo). De Wet Vifo is van toepassing op investeringen, fusies en overnames in bedrijven die actief zijn op het gebied van (zeer) sensitieve technologie, exploitanten van bedrijfscampussen of leveranciers van vitale infrastructuur in Nederland. Elke investering in dergelijke bedrijven moet worden gemeld aan het BTI. Het BTI is verantwoordelijk voor de inhoudelijke toetsing van deze investeringsactiviteiten. In onze praktijk hebben de meeste meldingen betrekking op investeringen in bedrijven die actief zijn op het gebied van sensitieve technologie.
