The Securities Commission Malaysia revised its licensing handbook on 12 October 2022. Amongst the changes are:

  • amendment to facilitate changes in processes and automation of additional forms under the second phase of the Electronic Application System (“EASy”) for greater operational efficiency as well as to provide greater clarity and consistency in the requirements;
  • updates to the Appendix 3 to the licensing handbook relating to EASy, which indicates the new form types that have been automated through EASy and the types of supporting documentation for various forms;
  • housekeeping amendments throughout the licensing handbook which are either editorial or for consistency with the current law.
