Introduction

Charities have been in the headlines recently. Revelations about Oxfam aid workers shone a light on the charities sector and highlighted certain failings where the sector has not lived up to the required standards imposed by the public. The gesture of "giving" is an important aspect of society and it evokes betrayal if charities abuse their position. Charities (Jersey) Law 2014
