Residents in Cayman Brac will have a chance to learn about changes to the business licensing process this week.

Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) staff will be at the following locations on Thursday, 22 October, to talk about the new Trade and Business Licensing Law (TBL):

  • Kirkconnell Supermarket – 10am to noon
  • Billy's Supermarket – 1pm to 3pm
  • Market Place – 3pm to 5pm

There also will be a public meeting at the Aston Rutty Centre from 7pm to 9pm. Giveaways and hand-outs related to the new law will be available throughout the day.

DCI Director Ryan Rajkumarsingh said the goal is to educate the public.

'The law aims to make the overall business licensing system more efficient on all three islands', he said. 'Because businesses in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman will be affected by the changes set out in the law, it is imperative that we reach out to them'.
