The Latin American focused legal team at Ciena, a networking systems, services, and software company, are recognised for having recently worked on a number of significant projects aimed at fortifying the company’s presence in the region. They played a key role on the partnership agreement involving Globe Net in May 2018 to provide 200G wavelengths along Ciena’s subsea cable system across the Americas which will improve production and connectivity in the region. In April 2018, the team completed a partnership agreement with Equinix to create a Metro Connect centre in São Paulo, Brazil to create high density connections at lower transmission costs between four sites located within the state and the expansion of the programme to Rio de Janeiro.
