Career Biography
Liz is a Barrister who joined SSE in 2002, as part of the acquisition of Neos Networks. Since then, Liz has held a variety of legal and commercial roles within a number of different SSE Group companies and was appointed to the Group Executive Committee as Group General Counsel in March 2019. As Group General Counsel she oversaw the corporate functions of Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Data Protection, and Large Capital Project Services. In August 2023 Liz was appointed to the joint role of General Counsel and Company Secretary, adding the corporate function of Company Secretariat to her remit.
