As one of Turkey’s leading private pension and life insurance providers, AvivaSA Pension and Life (AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat) was founded in 2007. It was born out of a joint venture with the merger of AK Emeklilik, a subsidiary of Sabancı Holding, and Aviva Hayat ve Emeklilik, a Turkish subsidiary of UK insurance giant Aviva. It has since become one of the leading private pension and life insurance companies in Turkey under the name AvivaSA Pension and Life Insurance. This has in part been due to the legal team who has helped the company conduct its operations through the channels of direct sales, institutional projects, agencies and telesales to serve its two million customers in the private pension and life insurance sectors. Since 2012, the legal department has been managed by general counsel Kurtuluş Çaltekin who brings his experience in M&A and legal compliance to the division.
