One of the largest revenue generating entities in the entire Nordic region, historic industrials company Atlas Copco has a number of business interests centred on the manufacturing of industrial tools and equipment, employing approximately 34,000 people and amassing a total global revenue of SEK86bn in 2017. The company’s in-house legal team is commended and recognised for its contribution to the company’s success in recent years, and the organisation has been busy with a number of transactions including several M&A deals. These include, most recently, the acquisition of steam boiler rental company Powerhouse E&E and medical gas solutions supplier MGES, deals that have been assisted by the company’s team of in-house lawyers. Håkan Osvald is the most senior lawyer in the organisation, having the position of senior vice president general counsel, and was included in 2018’s GC Powerlist: Sweden, evincing the quality of counsel that makes up the department.
