Established in 1993 as a wholly owned company of the government of Dubai, ENOC has grown to be one of the leaders in the regional energy industry. Comprising multiple subsidiaries, clustered around two main categories – energy operations and infrastructures and general services – the group operates across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors. The legal team at the heart of the group provides routine support on a range of legal and compliance issues encountered by each subsidiary on a day-to-day basis. It also oversees strategic transactional work, with its contribution to ENOC’s 2015 acquisition of 46% of Dragon Oil in a £1.7bn deal being one notable example of its expertise in this area.
