With over 90 years of history in Belorussian football, Dinamo Minsk ranks as the oldest and one of the most successful football clubs in the country. To ensure the smooth running of operations, the club employs a stable and talented team of legal support staff who, for a number of years, have worked in various positions in its organisational structure. Headed by Kiryl Maleyeu, Dinamo Minsk’s legal department has shown excellent results in arranging pending cases at international level including (FIFA and CAS), which had potential to reflect negatively on the club, in line with its participation in UEFA European club competitions. The team is responsible for the international organisation of matches on behalf of the club, and has consistently impressed with its ability to innovate on an operational level. A recent example of the latter involves the team’s excellent work in organising a system of documents, which improves work related to transfers and contract matters, as well as regarding player and coach engagement and release. Maleyeu’s team has also shown great proactivity in keeping up to date with changing regulatory requirements, which is an absolute necessity for any legal team operating at the highest level of European football. To this end, the team also keeps close contacts with colleagues in other clubs (including ones based outside of Belarus) and keenly follows news related to the football business to anticipate any potential business and legal risk.
