Baxter, a multinational company that provides a broad portfolio of essential renal and hospital products, bought Gambro in 2013 and it was the legal team that was entrusted with ensuring a seamless transition in the region, after they worked on the acquisition project with the global legal team in Chicago. Located across Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Venezuela, the team are responsible for leading all legal strategies on Baxter-Gambro Renal business initiatives in Latin America including regional business projects. The team is led by legal director, Angel Alfonso Molina, who boasts 15 years of professional experience in law firms and multinational companies, and has been at Baxter since 2006. In this capacity he has been involved in a plethora of activities from managing the legal department’s annual budget to guiding the career development of its members. With this development opportunity, the team have been equipped to lead all litigation cases and have supported the Latin American compliance function by performing compliance training.
