About

Christine Harman has led the legal and company secretarial and integrity aspects of Cricket Australia since November 2014, after being general manager of legal and procurement for Australia’s Cricket World Cup bidding and delivery process, and as general counsel for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. In addition to prominent sporting institutions, Harman has experience in other in-house executive legal positions in commercial and financial companies. Harman has extensive experience in the public sector and sports industry as well as a broad scope of corporate governance, legal, compliance, and commercial matters.

She has been the leader on major sporting events and other projects and is well known for her leadership and integrity, which were attributes highlighted by nominators. As such, she heads both the legal and integrity departments of Cricket Australia, involved in upholding the ethical standards of the game as well as the organisation’s day-to-day legal challenges. Whether it is through restructuring of the organisation or questions of integrity in the game, Harman is recognised for her commitment to the integrity of the sport of cricket and is being recognised for her guidance through high profile events and a wealth of industry experience.
