What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Our legal team is one of the key players in the company’s expansion process at the local level. It has driven the development of our Carrefour Express and Carrefour Maxi formats in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Mendoza. Additionally, regarding its participation as part of the Carrefour Group, the team works in the identification of risks and finds new ways to implement projects at a local level.

Do you use any “legal tech” products and do you find them a helpful management device?

We have introduced electronic signature through Docusing as a tool to streamline the signing of company documents. We have also implemented the SAP ARIBA (OneBuy) system, which allows the monitoring of the contracting processes carried out by the indirect purchasing department, both locally and in all the countries of the Carrefour Group. Furthermore, we have collaborated in the launch of the Blockchain system in the meat products of the Huella Natural own brand.

How much influence do you, as a general counsel, have on the diversity and inclusions policies of your organisation?

The legal team accompanies the human resources and corporate affairs teams in the development of the diversity and inclusion programme, advising them on the applicable regulations, the implementation of internal processes and the drafting of the documents or agreements that the company decides to sign. We actively participated in diversity and inclusion awareness events, held at the administrative offices and stores, throughout the country.
