Clara has now successfully completed her pupillage under the supervision of Laura Addy and is now a tenant at PSQB.

In the past six months, Clara has successfully defended and prosecuted in a wide range of cases, from driving offences to serious domestic assaults and drug-related matters. She has developed a particular interest in youth court work representing young clients charged with domestic violence, thefts and drug offences. She has demonstrated a strong ability to communicate clearly and adapt her advocacy to suit the individual needs of each case. Clara's calm and mature courtroom presence has earned her positive feedback from clients and members of the Bar. Clara has continued to develop her sharp written advocacy through the drafting of legal arguments and sentencing notes across a range of cases.

Clara worked extensively with SEN children and their families prior to pupillage. She worked one on one with children to help develop their communication abilities through a range of verbal and non-verbal mediums, as well as supporting children in social work meetings. She is also currently completing a dissertation studying the participation of autistic child witnesses in criminal trials, analysing problem areas and potential reforms. Consequently, Clara has a sharp ability to develop unique and professional relationships with very diverse clientele, understanding their needs in a practical context. In tandem with her academic background, Clara is a professional and confident advocate.

Children Law

Clara has successfully completed her pupillage under the supervision of Natalia Perrett and is now a tenant at PSQB.

Clara has represented parents in a range of private law family matters involving serious allegations of domestic abuse. She has demonstrated her clear and effective communication skills helping parents to understand complex areas of law, such as alienating behaviours, and effectively explaining the potential outcomes of cases. She has received positive feedback from professional and lay clients for her thorough preparation and effective advocacy.

Throughout her pupillage, Clara has seen and assisted with a variety of public law cases involving allegations of non-accidental injuries and serious sexual abuse. She has shadowed barristers undertaking work for Local Authorities, Parents, Intervenors, and Children. Her delicate understanding of vulnerable clients has enabled her to assist in conferences and build meaningful and professional relationships with diverse clientele. She has also helped draft numerous legal arguments, position statements and orders.

Court of Protection & Adult Care

Clara has now successfully completed her pupillage under the supervision of Natalia Perrett and is now a tenant at PSQB. Clara is keen to grow her practice in Court of Protection work.

Throughout her first six, Clara shadowed a range of work including fact finding hearings, appeals and committal proceedings. She also enjoyed time shadowing Local Authority solicitors and gaining a deeper insight into practice and more discrete legal issues; this has helped shape her advocacy and approach. Her delicate understanding of vulnerable clients has enabled her to assist in conferences and build meaningful and professional relationships with diverse clientele. She has also helped draft numerous legal arguments, position statements and orders.
