Chloe has expertise in dealing with cases involving non-accidental injuries to babies and small children, particularly those with concurrent family proceedings. She recently prosecuted a so called ‘shaken baby’ case involving the leading experts in this field of medicine being led by Dafydd Enoch KC.
- R v Saqlain Ali and others (2026): Led by Geraldine Kelly KC, secured the only acquittal in a 7-handed murder, the lay client being found not guilty of both murder and manslaughter. Seven Defendants were charged with murder following a large-scale incident of disorder at an address in Dewsbury Moor. The Defendants then travelled in two cars to Crow Nest Park where the prosecution alleged an ongoing and heated feud continued. This culminated in what was described by the prosecution as a pursuit of the deceased, ending in a fatal knife fight. The case was complicated by CCTV that captured the killing and the complex family dynamics between the deceased and the Defendants.
- R v Hanzel Scott (2025): Prosecuting a Defendant charged with importing kilos of class A drugs. Subsequently prosecuted the Defendant for rape of two 15 year girls, including one who had been kidnapped and taken to Mexico.
- R v Michniewicz, Michniewicz, Seretny and Seretny (2025) : Operation Laggened – Successful prosecution of 4 Defendants for the human trafficking of Polish women into the UK to work as prostitutes. Drafted International Letters of Request to the Polish authorities (police, judiciary) to enable the women to give evidence remotely to this jurisdiction.
- R v Bardia Shojaeifard (2025): Operation Poplincard – Representing 14 year old Defendant convicted of murdering another school child. The complexities of the case involved representing a child who had learning difficulties, Asperger’s syndrome and autism.
