Marc Samuels specialises in matrimonial finance, encompassing all aspects of financial remedy proceedings and Schedule 1 claims under the Children Act 1989. He is regularly instructed in high-value, complex disputes involving corporate structures, trusts, private equity, and intricate remuneration arrangements.

A recognised authority on cryptoassets in family law, Marc co-authored ‘Cryptocurrency in Matrimonial Finance’ with Dean Armstrong KC (Bloomsbury Professional, 2022) and authored ‘Commercial Contracts for UK Companies: Formation to Exit’ (Bloomsbury Professional, 2021). He is a LexisNexis PSL Family Law expert panel member and speaks frequently on matrimonial finance, emerging technologies, and related commercial/business issues.

Alongside his court practice, Marc represents clients across all forms of NCDR, including Private FDRs, arbitrations, and hybrid mediations. Prior to joining 36 Family, Marc practised at leading New York law firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he trained as a solicitor.
