Elena Johnson is a family law specialist. Her practice spans all areas of private family law, including matrimonial finance, proceedings involving cohabiting couples, private children law, and Family Law Act applications.

Elena is ranked as a ‘Rising Star’ of the London Family Law Bar in the Legal 500 2026 and Doyle’s Guide 2025.

Elena is regularly instructed in all stages of matrimonial finance proceedings. She adopts a thorough and pragmatic approach to achieve the best outcome for her client, including through negotiation or at Final Hearing. Elena also accepts instructions in cases involving cohabitees and intervenors.

In private children proceedings Elena acts in cases from FHDRA to Final Hearing. She approaches cases between parents constructively whilst ensuring that her client’s views are fully represented. She has received particular praise on her attention to detail and her client care skills.

Elena previously worked for a Band 1 Family firm of solicitors where she worked on high-value matrimonial finance cases.
