Position

David’s practice revolves around residential and commercial property disputes, professional negligence, commercial disputes and employment law. David frequently appears in the County Court for fast track trials, application hearings, directions hearings and pre-trial reviews. David recently represented the Mary Ward Legal Centre in a six-day High Court trial, led by Peter Petts with Mark Erridge, in Christie v Mary Ward Legal Centre and Andrew Dymond [2025] EWHC 330 (KB).

Before joining chambers, David worked as an assistant to a barrister who specialised in media and defamation claims and achieved successful outcomes for clients including prominent politicians, both foreign and domestic, and public figures on social media. He has experience drafting pleadings and advising in complex defamation disputes. David recently drafted pleadings and appeared in the High Court in a defamation claim concerning messages posted in a WhatsApp group chat.

David has also previously worked as data protection paralegal in the healthcare sector, and as an assistant to an employment barrister with a particular focus on discrimination claims.

David completed an LLB at University College London and an LLM at Queens’ College, Cambridge. He received both the Roger Cox Scholarship and an Advocacy Scholarship for his Bar Practice Course at the University of Law, for which he obtained a distinction.
