Eleanor was called to the Bar in 2018 and has practiced at No5 Chambers from the commencement of her pupillage. Eleanor’s practice across family law.

Eleanor undertakes financial remedies work of both high value and matters containing legal complexities. Eleanor has extensive experience with factually complex matters including; serious domestic abuse (both with and without existing convictions), complex self-employment arrangements, director’s loans, family loans, inheritance, and caring arrangements.

Eleanor undertakes Private Law Children work, representing parents, grandparents and children. In this work she regularly takes instructions in finding of fact hearings involving allegations of sexual abuse of children, sexual violence and domestic abuse (including coercive and controlling behaviour), intractable disputes, children resistant to contact and alienating behaviours. She has been instructed on cases involving both international and domestic relocation, disputes involving educational provisions, complicated shared care arrangements and enforcement applications. Eleanor is able to consistently steer the courts focus to the deciding factor and efficiently secure resolution for her clients.

Eleanor undertakes public law children work across the spectrum of issues encompassing; sexual abuse, inflicted injuries, fabricated or factitious illness, life-threatening medical neglect, domestic abuse, intractable parental disputes and neglect. Eleanor is experienced with vulnerable clients, including those without capacity or cognitive issues, ensuring that any necessary accommodations are made for their involvement at court and giving evidence. Eleanor has been lead by senior junior counsel on multiple occasions, appearing on cases against KCs and very experienced senior junior counsel.
