Career

Susana specialises in immigration and public law, with a focus on asylum, international human rights, extradition, EU free movement, trafficking claims and age disputes. She is instructed as sole counsel or led in complex cases, undertaking work on a private and publicly funded basis.

She draws from her domestic and international experience, which includes working at Gherson Solicitors LLP in the Extradition, Mutual Legal Assistance and Interpol Team, and the Serious Fraud Office as well as being a Nicolas Bratza Scholar and Trainee at the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg, France). Susana is fluent in multiple languages, including Spanish.

Susana has been praised as “a rising star in the Immigration and Human Rights Bar”. She has been nominated for Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year at the Advocate Bar Pro Bono Awards 2024, where she received a special mention. She is dedicated to her clients, proactive in her approach and prepares her cases with great precision.
