Ffyon is a human rights barrister who practises exclusively in public law

Inquests - Ffyon is regularly instructed to represent the interests of the bereaved family at inquests: arising from a range of contexts. Routinely these are Article 2 inquests, both jury and non-jury.

Prison Law - Ffyon appears regularly before the Parole Board both in person and in virtual hearings; this includes complex cases, including IPP prisoners, and public Parole Board hearings. Ffyon acts for claimants in judicial review proceedings challenging Parole Board decisions. She was recently led in the Court of Appeal in Fajr Ellis v Secretary of State for Justice

Education Law - Ffyon represents both appellants and respondents in Special Educational Needs (SEN) appeals before First-tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs and Disability). Ffyon is regularly instructed on appeals concerning disputes surrounding Sections B, F and I of the Educational, Health and Care Needs Plans (EHCPs), as well as appeals arising from the Local Authority’s refusal to assess a young person’s EHC needs. She also represents parties in Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolution (JADR) hearings prior to Special Educational Needs and Disability Appeals.
