Career

Ignacio Delpino has more than 15 years of experience in banking, finance and capital markets, both in Chile and internationally. He advises on structured, bilateral and syndicated financings, as well as domestic and international capital markets transactions, derivatives, International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) documentation, and complex regulatory matters. His experience includes advising on the transition from the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR), financial portability, fintech regulation, treasury operations, and coordination with multiple stakeholders before regulatory authorities. Ignacio has a strong track record in developing legal strategies, managing multidisciplinary teams, and leading high-impact negotiations. He has implemented compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, participated in corporate governance committees, and advised boards of directors on strengthening institutional governance. His experience spans structured finance, debt restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, project development, international bond issuances, and complex contractual negotiations. In addition, he has experience in projects and energy, corporate transactions, insurance, and dispute resolution, among other areas. With a deep understanding of financial regulation, Ignacio advises financial institutions, investment funds, and insurance companies on the execution and management of complex financial transactions throughout Chile and Latin America.
