Richard Houliston

Richard leads Mills Selig’s Banking & Finance Team; he specialises in corporate and commercial banking, real estate finance (investment and development), social housing finance and clean energy/renewables finance. Richard acts for a number of commercial and investment banks and funds, as well as corporates, developers and sponsors. Having advised both lenders and borrowers, Richard has a wide experience of the issues faced by different parties to finance transactions.  He has significant international experience which means he is extremely adept at dealing with issues in bringing complex cross-border transactions to completion.Richard is regularly instructed by financial institutions and City law firms to undertake the NI aspects of all types of securitisation and structured finance transactions, ensuring the sale and security structures work from a Northern Irish law perspective.

Rebecca is a Legal Director in our Litigation Department. Rebecca studied and qualified in England, working for a top tier commercial litigation firm in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a number of years, before returning to Northern Ireland in 2019 to join Mills Selig.Rebecca has a wide range of experience in dealing with contentious matters for commercial clients. She regularly deals with claims in the Commercial Court, but also has considerable experience of property and land disputes, intellectual property issues, procurement challenges, defamation claims, probate and trust disputes, regulatory advice and debt recovery.
Conor Mulligan

Conor Mulligan

Conor completed his training contract with Mills Selig and qualified as a solicitor in September 2021.  He specialises in both contentious and non-contentious work in our Construction department.Conor has been involved in mediating, litigating and adjudicating high-value construction, engineering and procurement disputes.He provides advice on drafting and negotiating construction documents to a wide range of clients including developers, professional consultants, contractors and sub-contractors.Conor acts for public bodies by advising on and managing procurement processes, and has also advised both contracting authority and bidder clients in relation to procurement challenges.
