Başak Küçük is a partner and heads the Construction & Projects practice group in Amsterdam. She advises and litigates in complex national and global matters in construction and project development.

Her main focus is on (inter)national construction law and project development, especially in the renewable energy sector. What sets her and the team apart is their ability to advise on the full life cycle of large construction projects, from the contract phase through to tenders and potential litigation.

More specifically, Başak specializes in the realization of large-scale construction and industrial projects, redevelopment of buildings and the development of sustainable projects (including renewable and alternative energy, green building, water resources). She is well-versed in FIDIC-related queries as well as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and complex public-private partnership agreements (PPPA), often in the realm of infrastructure and energy. She also advises and litigates in complex national and global matters in construction and project development, including complex liability disputes. As a partner she handles complex negotiations and takes on an in-depth/strategic role for clients. Clients recognize her as a sparring partner.

In 2025, Başak was featured on the cover of the Jaargids Advocatuur, an annual publication focusing on the Dutch legal sector, which contained an in-depth interview with her and a long-standing client on a prominent renovation, construction and development project in the Netherlands.

She is a regular presenter at international conferences such as AIJA as well as key construction-related events in the Netherlands, such as the launch of 'DG2025', the new Model Agreement for construction teams.

Başak was nominated by Legal Women, the Dutch network for female lawyers, as Upcoming Talent of the Year 2021 and made it to the finals of this prestigious national competition. She was one of the initiators and hosts of a very well-received Dentons podcast series, covering topics such as innovation, corporate social responsibility and inclusion.

An advocate for diversity and inclusion, Başak is actively involved within Dentons’ GLOW Europe network (focusing on LGBT+) and is a mentor within the groundbreaking Dentons Diverse Excellence Scholarship. She is also an active contributor within the Dentons Europe pro bono program, providing long-term legal support for impactful organizations such as JustDiggit.
