Counsel

Nick de Rooij is a counsel in the Corporate and M&A practice in Dentons' Amsterdam office. Nick focuses on complex M&A transactions, private equity, venture capital and joint ventures. Many of the deals on which Nick works are cross-border and involve a broad range of sectors. Nick’s client portfolio includes both national and international public and private companies, including private equity firms, venture capital investors, leading service providers, industrial and financial organizations.

A results-driven lawyer, Nick is renowned for his calm approach, responsiveness and social skills, making him a tremendous asset in his day-to-day transactions with clients.

Nick completed a postgraduate course on Finance Law at Grotius Academy in 2022 (cum laude). In 2019, he was seconded to Eurus Energy Group, a leading Japanese renewable company, as legal counsel to support their European transactions. He is also a member of Dentons Europe NextGen Council, a committee of ten high-performing colleagues that acts as a sounding board to the Europe Board.
