Byron Reynolds is a Partner in Dentons’ Calgary office and is a member of the Energy, Infrastructure and PPP, and Corporate groups.

Byron has a practice focusing on mergers and acquisitions and project development, which includes the structuring and negotiation of complex commercial arrangements relating to the purchase and sale of assets and shares, the formation of partnerships and joint ventures, the allocation of risks and responsibilities arising from engineering, procurement and construction arrangements (in a variety of project delivery models), operation and maintenance agreements, long-term service agreements, commodity transportation and sale arrangements (bundled and unbundled with the associated environmental attributes), and debt and equity financings.

Byron has extensive experience helping clients reduce their carbon footprints in accordance with established protocols, drive the development of carbon markets and navigate market challenges and rapidly evolving regulatory regimes to identify risks and business opportunities.

In addition, Byron regularly provides advice and services respecting corporate governance, reorganizations and general corporate and commercial matters. Byron acts for a broad range of clients, from start-ups to public companies. A significant portion of his practice involves representing clients in the energy, infrastructure, construction and hospitality sectors.
