Career
Marta Wysokińska is an attorney at law at the Warsaw Bar of Legal Advisors. She is a graduate of law studies, English philology and postgraduate studies in intellectual property law. From the beginning of her professional career she has been working for large international law firms. For over four years she held the position of an in-house counsel at a subsidiary of Robert Bosch, BSH.
She focuses on intellectual property issues, including copyright, anti-piracy, protection of fair competition, trademark rights, business secrets, IT and film production. Inter alia she deals with litigations matters, including copyright protection and unfair competition aspects of passing-off. Her clients, since the very beginning of her career, are major international corporations who have substantial influence over the world culture and entertainment. Recently, she assisted on several top-notch disputes to the American motion picture industry entities. She has extensive experience in serving clients in the media industry, as well as in the cross-sectional daily work of a corporate lawyer of a large foreign production company with a particular emphasis on digitalization. This allows her to provide advice focused on business. Her practice in IT matters concentrates on licensing as well as creating tailor made solutions. She also has significant experience in transactional work.
She routinely publishes articles in the Rzeczpospolita Daily, also on IP. She was a lecturer at Akademia Leona Koźmińskiego (postgraduate studies on developing business) where she put emphasis on the value of IP, relevant acquisition thereof as well as on the legal protection of trade secrets. Marta is invited as a speaker to conferences. She regularly speaks at multinational conferences organized by the International Chamber of Commerce Poland, IP Commission. Recently, in June 2021, she covered the current legislative challenges (the DSM Directive and the Digital Services Act).
