Career

Dennis has developed a strong focus in the areas of negotiated mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, banking and finance, and property development.  During this time he also developed a niche expertise in the areas of ADI licensing, structured finance and blockchain technology (including matters related to cryptocurrency). 

Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Dennis spent a number of years in the banking and finance industry arranging senior debt and structured finance for leading private and institutional property developers in Australia.

Given Dennis' previous commercial and industry roles, he is able to engage with his clients on a much broader level, ensuring that his advice and guidance is shaped not only by legal and risk management considerations, but also by his clients' specific commercial objectives. 

Dennis' extensive Australian, international and cross jurisdictional experience includes, but not limited to the following areas:

Australian Corporate Advisory: International and Cross-Jurisdictional Corporate Advisory; Australian Public / Listed M&A Transactions; Australian Private M&A Transactions; International M&A; and Australian Major Projects.

Dennis is passionate about all things that combine technology and the environment, from self-driving electric cars and battery density to renewable energy and the sharing economy. When Dennis is away from the office, he likes to travel, having visited upwards of 40 countries (with plans to visit many more).
