Kara is a Supervising Lawyer in DWF’s national Insurance team, with particular expertise in the area of Personal Injury Law. Kara is based in DWF's Brisbane office.

Supervising Lawyer

Kara is an Insurance Lawyer, with over 12 years’ experience who specialises in Personal Injury Law. She is recognised as an accredited specialist in Personal Injury Law by the Queensland Law Society (QLS). Kara also has a particular interest in catastrophic and major claims.

Prior to joining DWF, Kara worked in-house for WorkCover Queensland (Queensland’s largest workers’ compensation insurer), and she has also worked as a panel solicitor for Queensland self-insurers, compulsory third party (CTP) insurers and public liability insurers. Throughout her career, she has also practiced in north Queensland, hence she is equipped to understand the needs of our regional communities.

Kara is also an elected Councillor of the QLS. In her role as Councillor, she is striving to protect and enhance the legal profession, and strengthen the reputation of lawyers. She particularly enjoys being engaged with the committees, and being actively involved in the shaping of the future of the legal profession.
