Liz has practised law in the shipping and marine insurance sector since 2009. Liz was promoted to Senior Associate in 2020, having joined the Manchester Marine and International Trade Team in 2016 as an Associate. Her practice has predominantly focussed on shipping and transportation claims, including international carriage of goods, logistics, warehousing, ports and terminals, P&I and charterparty claims, oil sale contract disputes and yachting claims.Liz acts for a number of insurers both domestic and worldwide. Liz handles claimant and defence of liability matters before the English Admiralty and Commercial Courts, arbitration and also in a number of other jurisdictions across the globe. The claims arise from damage/loss of cargo in transit, irrespective of whether the carriage was by sea, air, rail or road. Liz is a key team member who has conduct of and assists in high value and multi-track shipping and international logistics matters.
