Miles regularly advises on global and local financial regulatory developments and financial market infrastructure. Miles also has extensive experience in FinTech, with a particular interest in blockchain and crypto products. He regularly advises leading DLT technology firms, crypto derivative exchanges and other innovative businesses on global regulatory, trading and product development related matters. He has worked in our London and Singapore offices. He has spent time in-house in leading financial institutions, including client secondments in London to Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Man Group, as well completing an international secondment to Zurich.

Mel Chan regularly advises sponsors, multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, export credit agencies and commercial banks on the financing of energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on Asia Pacific. Her experience spans across the oil & gas, refining and petrochemicals, power and infrastructure sectors. She has worked on numerous first-of-a-kind projects, and has handled multiple complex multi-source financings and blended finance transactions. She also has extensive experience on ECA-backed financings. Mel is a member of the Clifford Chance Global Energy Transition Initiative. Her focus is on renewables, carbon capture, green fuels and clean hydrogen/ammonia.

She has deep experience advising clients on global data compliance programmes, the commercialisation of data and high-profile cyber incidents. She leads high profile cyberbreach response for clients, coordinating the management of an incident and leading the regulatory investigations across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with senior management. Shaun focuses on out of court and court supervised restructurings, formal insolvencies, debt trading and portfolio transactions, special situations financings, enforcement and recovery litigation and contingency planning and strategic advice. He is an INSOL Fellow and is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and as a barrister and solicitor in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining Clifford Chance in May 2020, Shaun was a partner at a global law firm where he started the Singapore restructuring practice and has worked in Australia and Hong Kong.

Tom advises private equity houses, other financial investors and corporates on a wide range of matters, including buyouts, secondaries, joint ventures, MBOs, minority and co-investments, public M&A, management incentives and restructurings.
