Stefanie Ferring

Stefanie Ferring is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice at Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. Stefanie specialises in insolvency and restructuring matters, with a focus on cross-border financial restructurings and restructuring work involving financial institutions and real estate portfolios. She also has broad experience in national and cross-border banking and finance work, including in particular bank lending and real estate finance. Stefanie is also leading the ESG initiative for the Luxembourg banking practice. She is a regular conference speaker and was guest lecturer in insolvency law at the University of Luxembourg.

Katia Gauzès specialises in corporate law, advising domestic and foreign clients, in particular international companies and clients from the private equity and real estate industry on the structuring of complex international transactions, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions as well as the reorganization and setting up of various company structures and joint ventures in Luxembourg. Katia represents Clifford Chance on the board of directors of LPEA, the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and is also a member of its Legal Technical Committee.

Steve Jacoby is the Co-Regional Managing Partner for One Europe and he is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice of Clifford Chance’s Luxembourg office. He specialises in finance and capital markets matters and has a significant expertise in financial regulatory work, with a focus on digital finance and capital markets. He joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2002.

Christian Kremer

Christian Kremer co-heads the Corporate and Capital Markets practices. He became Senior Partner of the Luxembourg office of Clifford Chance on 1st May 2019 after being Managing Partner since 2000. Christian Kremer has a broad Corporate, M&A, Private Equity, Finance and Insurance practice. He has over 30 years' experience acting for, corporates, private equity houses, banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions on corporate, finance, regulatory and capital markets matters. He is a member of expert committees of the CSSF, the Luxembourg regulator of the financial sector. He is also a member of the Haut Comité pour la Place Financière, an advisory committee to the Luxembourg government.

Charles-Henri Laevens

Charles-Henri is a Senior Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. He specialises in intellectual property and information technology with a particular focus on data protection and privacy. Acting for banks and other professionals of the financial sector, insurance companies as well as commercial and industrial companies.

Christian Lennig

Christian Lennig specialises in investment fund work, advising domestic and foreign clients on the regulatory, corporate, contractual and organisational aspects of investment vehicles (AIFs, SIFs, SICARs, UCIs and UCITS), such as their structuring, setting-up, registration, marketing and public offering.

Marc Mehlen is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice at Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. He specialises in national and cross-border banking and finance work, including in particular bank lending, acquisition finance, real estate finance, asset finance, securitisations and structured finance. Marc also has broad experience in insolvency and restructuring work, including on real estate transactions.

Albert Moro heads the litigation, employment and real estate practices at Clifford Chance’s Luxembourg office. He specialises in corporate litigation, civil and commercial law, labour law, arbitration and real estate and has more than twenty-five years of experience in these areas. Albert acts for banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions, as well as for commercial and industrial companies, and public entities.

Saskia Myners specialises in corporate law with a particular focus on private equity and real estate transactions. Saskia advises a wide range of companies, private equity and real estate sponsors, management teams, asset managers and pension funds on the structuring of cross-border transactions, acquisitions and disposals, minority investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.

Geoffrey Scardoni

Geoffrey Scardoni heads the Tax and Pensions practice of Clifford Chance’s Luxembourg office. With experience in international tax law, he specialises in international corporate structuring, cross-border financial products and fund formation. His broad spectrum of clients include corporates, private equity firms, investment houses and high-net-worth individuals across the corporate, real estate, private equity and finance sectors.

Ada Schmitt is a Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. She handles both domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration cases, ranging from contractual, tort, commercial or banking litigation to post-M&A, insolvency-related and enforcement disputes. Ada represents corporate, banking and financial investor clients, including investment funds and asset managers. She also leads on Regulatory Investigations and Financial Crime ("RIFC")-related work, assisting clients on investigations (internal and external) and with regulatory enforcement instances. Ada is a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Arbitration Association (LAA).

Sébastien Schmitz

Sébastien advises our clients on all areas of real estate law, including property acquisitions and sales, office and commercial lease contracts, town planning, construction law and environment law. He handles the real estate and environment aspects of corporate transactions for major international companies in the real estate, financial and industrial sectors. Sébastien provides legal support to major real estate developers and real estate investors operating in Luxembourg, as well as to public bodies. His practice also includes administrative law, legislation on business licences and dispute resolutions.

Martin Wurth is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice of Clifford Chance’s Luxembourg office. He specialises in structured finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and bank lending in cross border and local transactions, with a particular focus on financings to Luxembourg investment funds (subscription/equity bridge or NAV facilities). Martin is also a regular contributor to legal journals and is a regular speaker at Fund Finance Association conferences.
