Stefanie Ferring
Stefanie Ferring is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice at Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. Stefanie specialises in insolvency and restructuring matters, with a focus on cross-border financial restructurings and restructuring work involving financial institutions and real estate portfolios. She also has broad experience in national and cross-border banking and finance work, including in particular bank lending and real estate finance. Stefanie is also leading the ESG initiative for the Luxembourg banking practice. She is a regular conference speaker and was guest lecturer in insolvency law at the University of Luxembourg.

Katia Gauzès specialises in corporate law, advising domestic and foreign clients, in particular international companies and clients from the private equity and real estate industry on the structuring of complex international transactions, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions as well as the reorganization and setting up of various company structures and joint ventures in Luxembourg. Katia represents Clifford Chance on the board of directors of LPEA, the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and is also a member of its Legal Technical Committee.

Christian Kremer co-heads the Corporate and Capital Markets practices. He became Senior Partner of the Luxembourg office of Clifford Chance on 1st May 2019 after being Managing Partner since 2000. Christian Kremer has a broad Corporate, M&A, Private Equity, Finance and Insurance practice. He has over 30 years' experience acting for, corporates, private equity houses, banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions on corporate, finance, regulatory and capital markets matters. He is a member of expert committees of the CSSF, the Luxembourg regulator of the financial sector. He is also a member of the Haut Comité pour la Place Financière, an advisory committee to the Luxembourg government.

Ada Schmitt is a Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office. She handles both domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration cases, ranging from contractual, tort, commercial or banking litigation to post-M&A, insolvency-related and enforcement disputes. Ada represents corporate, banking and financial investor clients, including investment funds and asset managers. She also leads on Regulatory Investigations and Financial Crime ("RIFC")-related work, assisting clients on investigations (internal and external) and with regulatory enforcement instances. Ada is a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Arbitration Association (LAA).

Sébastien advises our clients on all areas of real estate law, including property acquisitions and sales, office and commercial lease contracts, town planning, construction law and environment law. He handles the real estate and environment aspects of corporate transactions for major international companies in the real estate, financial and industrial sectors. Sébastien provides legal support to major real estate developers and real estate investors operating in Luxembourg, as well as to public bodies. His practice also includes administrative law, legislation on business licences and dispute resolutions.

Martin Wurth is a Partner in the Global Financial Markets practice of Clifford Chance’s Luxembourg office. He specialises in structured finance, asset finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and bank lending in cross border and local transactions, with a particular focus on financings to Luxembourg investment funds (subscription/equity bridge or NAV facilities). Martin is also a regular contributor to legal journals and is a regular speaker at Fund Finance Association conferences.
