Career

Michelle is a key partner in the CMS Hospitality, Travel & Leisure sector group.  She is best known for advising on UK and multi-jurisdictional mandates including complex on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, refinancings and general corporate advisory work. Michelle additionally advises on commercial arrangements, including management, franchise and asset management arrangements. She acts for a wide variety of clients including Owners, Operators/Managers, and Lenders.

Michelle regularly attends and contributes to industry conferences such as International Hospitality Investment Forum EMEA (IHIF), the Annual Hotel Conference, the Hotel Industry Development Event (panel session moderator “The rise of the hotel sector: tailwinds and headwinds”), the Operational Real Estate Festival (advisory board member, panel session moderator “Capital providers’ attitudes to operational real estate) and the Energy & Environment Alliance. She has also co-hosted CMS’ annual Women in Hospitality event, and co-hosted/moderated the Inspirational Women in Hospitality event at IHIF 2025.

Michelle prepares CMS’ annual publication Hospitality Matters, and is responsible for the training of CMS’ Hospitality, Travel and Leisure Associates.
