Jacques is a Partner and leads the Corporate Criminal Law practice and co-leads the Real Estate, Dispute Resolution and Compliance practices for the Firm.

Partner

Jacques Simhon is a Partner and Head of the Corporate Criminal Law practice. He also co-heads the Real Estate, Dispute Resolution and Compliance practices.

He advises national and multinational clients on corporate and individual criminal liability, acting both as trial counsel in high-stakes proceedings and as a strategic advisor on criminal risk management and compliance matters. His practice also includes disciplinary law.

Jacques has a strong leadership role in the compliance and anti-corruption space, serving as Vice President of the Corporate Responsibility and Anti-Corruption Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (Colombia).

In addition, he brings significant in-house and business experience in the real estate sector, having served as Head of Legal and General Manager of development companies. In this capacity, he has led major real estate projects from structuring through to completion.

He holds a law degree from Universidad de los Andes, a master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from Universidad de Barcelona and Universidad Pompeu Fabra, and a master’s degree in Criminology and Security from Universidad de Barcelona. He also holds a specialisation in Financial Law from Universidad de los Andes.

Jacques is also active in academia and regularly participates as a speaker and lecturer in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at various universities.
