Position

Moses is a partner and co-head of the Dispute Resolution Team. His practice focuses mainly on corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, intellectual property, and international criminal law.

Moses has acted as an arbitrator in multiple ad hoc UNCITRAL commercial tribunals and served on the PPDA Appeals Tribunal, handling complex multi‑million‑dollar public procurement disputes. He has successfully defended an international construction company in an ICC arbitration involving a USD 1 million claim. He has also served as Rule 74 Counsel before the International Criminal Court in The Hague

Career

Mr. Adriko is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of East Anglia. He also has a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in Uganda. He trained at Luper Partnership, Camden, England, and worked as an associate at Kateera & Kagumire Advocates, Uganda (now H&G Advocates) before becoming a partner at Adriko & Karugaba Advocates, and subsequently becoming a partner in MMAKS Advocates in 2005.

He is a past president of the Uganda Law Society and has chaired the African Forum of the International Bar Association (the “IBA”). He is a certified adjudicator accredited by the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration and has served on the IBA Human Rights Institute as a Council Member.

Mr. Adriko has served as a member of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Appeals Tribunal (PPDA Tribunal) and of the Transitional Justice Issues Committee of the Government of Uganda. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank (U) Limited. Mr. Adriko is the current Chairman of Sanlam General Insurance (U) Limited, as well as Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Provident Fund.
