Position

Sarah is an associate in the Banking and Finance Team.

Sarah has direct experience handling complex asset sales and purchases, property transfers, mortgages, and re-mortgages. She works closely with a broad client base including local and international lenders, borrowers, investment funds, and development finance institutions (DFIs), supporting them in various financing and project development transactions within Uganda. 

Her foundational expertise extends to corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, where she has assisted in establishing corporate entities, conducting due diligence exercises, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and drafting and reviewing key corporate transaction documents. Sarah is actively involved in advising on transaction structuring and routinely provides practical support to regional and multinational clients on a range of advisory inquiries that impact their operations. 

Career

Sarah has supported a wide range of high‑value and complex transactions across Uganda’s banking, finance, and corporate sectors. Her work includes conducting legal due diligence for multinational investors, advising on major corporate restructurings, and supporting significant financing transactions such as the securitization of a UGX 29 billion facility for government projects and a USD 1.5 million investment into a healthcare provider. She has also provided regulatory guidance to international foundations conducting clinical trials, advised on data protection compliance for multinational corporations, and supported the winding‑up and migration of licensed unit trust schemes.

Education

Sarah holds an LLB (Hons) degree from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
