Banking and Finance

Laura is an associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance Team.

Laura routinely advises on cross border financings, from a Ugandan law perspective and has advised lenders such as FMO, Standard Bark of South Africa, Oddo BHF, among others. She also advises on regulatory aspects of banking, anti-money laundering and capital markets law in Uganda.

Laura also acts for local banks and private equity funds  with regard to security perfection, conveyancing and contract review.  She has worked on  transactions across a range of sectors including but not limited to energy, mining, telecoms, infrastructure and fintech.
