Racheal is an Associate with the Property, Banking and Finance Team.
Career
Racheal has over six years of experience acting as lender’s counsel on complex cross‑border financings—such as syndicated loans exceeding EUR 25 million, multimillion‑dollar refinancing for solar companies, and major facilities granted to micro‑lenders and local corporations. She role includes drafting and perfecting security documentation, preparing capacity and enforceability legal opinions, and navigating multi‑jurisdictional issues in transactions involving both local and international lenders.
She has also supported significant corporate acquisitions, including due diligences for financial institutions and leading industrial companies in East Africa. She is the Vice Chairperson of the Uganda Law Society (ULS), Information Technology (ICT) cluster that is responsible for promoting engagement in the areas of technology law and innovation for the ULS membership.
