Flavia is a senior associate in the firm's corporate advisory department.

Career

With over 15 years of experience, Flavia is highly regarded for advising both local and international clients on complex transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions across diverse sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, food and beverages, and private equity.

She routinely leads high-profile mandates involving legal due diligence, regulatory compliance, corporate restructurings, capital markets, and cross-border transactional structuring. Her notable transactions include advising Africinvest on its acquisition of British International Investment Plc’s stake in a leading East African financial services group, and acting for I&M Bank on its acquisition of Orient Bank Uganda Ltd. She has also guided major private equity funds—including The Carlyle Group, Leapfrog Strategic African Investments, and Arise BV—on significant investments and exits in Uganda.

In addition to her corporate practice, Flavia possesses deep expertise in tax advisory, having previously worked in the tax department of Deloitte Uganda. She advises on the full spectrum of tax matters before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.
