Career
Santiago Montero Tofiño is an associate attorney at Britton & Iglesias. His practice focuses on litigation, construction law, and domestic and international arbitration. He is licensed to practice law in Colombia.
He has more than five years of experience representing clients in technically and legally complex arbitration proceedings under the rules of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He has also provided legal counsel on construction contracts, hydrocarbon transportation, and mining and infrastructure concessions.
He is a member of the research group in the Department of Mining and Energy Law at the Externado University of Colombia.
He holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a postgraduate degree in Mining and Energy Law from the Externado University of Colombia, and a postgraduate degree in Green Hydrogen from RENAC—Renewables Academy. He also holds certificates in arbitration from the Cali Chamber of Commerce and the ARBANZA School of Arbitration.
