Rafael Wallbach Schwind has been a qualified lawyer since 2003 and in 2016 he became a partner at Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini. Schwind has vast experience in port and maritime law, government contracts, public procurement, PPPs, infrastructure projects, civil construction, M&A, regulated industries, anticorruption legislation and related arbitration and litigation. He is listed in the arbitrator reference guide of the Arbitration Chamber of the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná – CAMFIEP and other arbitral institutions. In 2016, Schwind was a visiting scholar at the University of Nottingham and in 2017 became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Schwind is also a Professor at Universidade Positivo in the Administrative Law postgraduate course. Amongst several publications, Schwind has written the books Licitações Internacionais (2nd ed., 2017) and Remuneração do Concessionário (2010) and has edited and contributed chapters in the books Direito Portuário Brasileiro (2015) and Parcerias Público-Privadas (2015).
