Career
Alejandro specializes in economic competition law and has extensive experience advising various companies in this field. Throughout his career, he has provided counsel to clients in numerous merger notification procedures, investigations on abuse of dominant position, and both absolute and relative anticompetitive practices, as well as in procedures followed in the form of litigation. He has also developed compliance and prevention programs in economic competition for several companies. Alejandro was part of the legal team at the now-defunct Federal Economic Competition Commission of Mexico.
In addition, Alejandro focuses his practice on compliance matters, particularly those related to corruption in economic competition, with a special emphasis on investigations into potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). He also provides anti-corruption consulting and training. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in corporate matters, representing foreign companies in Mexico in corporate decision-making.

Education
Alejandro obtained his law degree from Universidad Latinoamericana and his master’s in international business law from the Queen Mary School of the University of London. He pursued further studies in competition law at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and The College of Law of England and Wales.
