Career

Diana Pineda joined Nader, Hayaux & Goebel in 2026 as a Partner in the Energy and Dispute Resolution (Arbitration) practice, bringing over 15 years of experience advising leading domestic and international clients across the oil, gas and power value chains.

She previously served as Partner at Sainz Abogados, S.C., and before that as Partner at González Calvillo, S.C., where she led complex matters in projects, energy, infrastructure and arbitration, after having held the roles of Counsel and Associate. Her practice combines regulatory strategy, project development and high-stakes dispute resolution, including ICC arbitrations and constitutional litigation (amparos) related to regulatory reforms in the hydrocarbons and electricity sectors.

Diana has also held in-house experience as VP Legal Advisor to the Board and General Counsel (Mexico) of Silver Fuels, LLC, advising on cross-border energy transactions, infrastructure development and compliance matters.

Her arbitration experience includes acting as co-arbitrator in ICC proceedings and representing clients in significant international arbitrations and regulatory disputes, as well as advising global refiners, terminal operators, traders and developers on permitting, compliance and enforcement matters.

Diana holds a master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, a law degree (Academic Excellence Award) from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte, and postgraduate studies in civil law obligations from Escuela Libre de Derecho, as well as international law studies at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).
