She is regularly involved in cross-border transactions related to the structuring, development and financing of projects in Mexico.
Ana Paula also specializes in real estate development, financing and investment transactions. She has represented major market participants in a wide range of real estate projects, including commercial, industrial, residential and business developments, as well as tourism-related projects such as hotels, timeshare projects and mixed-use developments. She also has significant experience advising clients on the structuring of development capital certificates (CKDs), investment project certificates (CERPIs), real estate investment trusts (FIBRAs), FIBRA-E structures, private equity funds and other investment instruments for the real estate sector. In addition, she regularly advises domestic and international sponsors and issuers, AFOREs, banks and financial institutions, among others.
Ana Paula is part of NHG’s specialized team focused on advising Mexican and foreign companies in their transition toward a regenerative economy through the implementation of sustainable development principles and ESG criteria. This has led her to participate in ESG-linked issuances and financings and to develop extensive experience in sustainable finance matters.
She has also developed significant knowledge in sustainability reporting and metrics, as well as Climate Governance matters.

Ana Paula obtained her law degree from Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus, in 2007, and earned an LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 2012, with a specialization in Corporate Law.

Co-author of the Mexico Chapter on Capital Market Regulations 2021 for the Thompson Reuters’ International Capital Markets and Securities Regulation. Author of the article “How can Mexican boards of directors incorporate climate governance principles, 2021”, in the Ganar-Ganar magazine, and was nominated by such publication for an award as one of its best publications. Co-author of the article “Stakeholder Capitalism: Sustainable Finance and Female Empowerment, 2021” for Abogadas MX.
