Career
Denise Salles is a partner in the Corporate & Finance practice and the Compliance practice at Vella, Pugliese, Buosi e Guidoni Advogados. She is also a member of Dentons’ Global Board and the Co-Head of the firm’s Compliance practice for the Latin American and The Caribbean region. With more than 25 years of experience, she represents national and international clients in a wide range of industries, such as life sciences, payment services, construction, infrastructure, real estate, financial services and energy.
Denise has extensive experience in corporate law, corporate transactions, contracts, foreign investment, and in compliance related matters, with focus on internal investigations, due diligences, risk assessments, trainings and structuring of compliance programs. Denise has conducted a number of internal investigations for multinational companies in Brazil.
She is a member of the WWCDA – Women´s White collar Defense Association, the Brazilian Bar Association Commission of Compliance Matters, and of the Commission of Compliance and Integrity of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil Canada. Is also a member of the Corporate Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association and of Applied Corporate Law Institute – IDSA.
Denise is graduated in law at Universidade de São Paulo, is specialized in Business Administration by FGV-SP, is specialized in Corporate Law by the Pontificia Universidade Católica, is specialized in Leadership Development by Fundação Dom Cabral, and is specialized in Insurance and Reinsurance Law by FGV-SP.
