These efforts have already earned us a string of enviable successes, including the recent historic $1B cash settlement  for former Dell stockholders—the largest recovery prior to judgment ever achieved in a fiduciary duty action in the Delaware Court of Chancery; $125M settlement on behalf of former shareholders of Discovery.; $123M settlement plus governance reforms in connection with Walmart’s prescription opioids business, which exacerbated the U.S. opioid epidemic; and a $100M settlement challenging a self-interested acquisition of Pattern Energy Group, among others. The Firm secured a historic jury verdict in a landmark data privacy case against Meta Platforms representing a class of Flo Health app users who alleged Meta knowingly recorded and exploited sensitive women’s health data in violation of California privacy laws. The case is one of the first times a jury has held a major technology company accountable for its handling of consumer health information.
