Career

Carey Olney advises electric utilities and energy clients on complex regulatory and administrative matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). She has more than fifteen years of administrative law experience, with a practice focused on utility rate cases, generation and transmission CCN amendment proceedings, and grid resiliency initiatives. Carey previously served as an advisor to PUCT Commissioners and as a Staff attorney in the PUCT's enforcement division, providing clients with a regulatory-informed perspective on contested proceedings, compliance, risk, and strategy.
