Francisco Zappa is a partner in the Corporate/M&A, Entertainment Law, ICTs and Media and Real Estate Law departments of the firm.

During 2017, he was an international associate at the New York offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and during 2018 he did a secondment in PepsiCo as Legal Head for Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

Turnkey projects, new developments, and real estate transactions are all covered, with the firm active in projects spanning cold-storage rooms, warehouses, factories and waste treatment plants, as well as hotels, residential sites and resort complexes. The team has also taken a strategic decision build up expertise in structured finance across its real estate practice. Bomchil has long been a key port of call for investors and corporates seeking advice on telecoms regulatory matters, with the firm having played a leading role in the privatisation and deregulation of the industry in Argentina. The practice represents its longstanding telecoms client base before regulatory authorities, handles legal disputes, including class actions, and assists with negotiations and the drafting of peer-to-peer agreements between operators. The firm is also active in the content production and entertainment industry, advising on contractual, distribution and regulatory matters. Data privacy work, including comparative reviews between Argentine privacy laws and transnational regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, is another busy area. The department is led by experienced TMT and regulatory lawyer Francisco Gutiérrez.
